Media Bows to Merck: Investigation into Gardasil Dangers Retracted
Susanne Posel (OC) : The Toronto Star has retracted an investigative article on Merck’s Gardasil and a correlation to “several young women [possibly becoming] sick due to vaccination.”
Publisher John Cruickshank wrote: “… the weight of the photographs, video, headlines and anecdotes led many readers to conclude the Star believed its investigation had uncovered a direct connection between a large variety of ailments and the vaccine.”
Cruickshank continued to explain “some doctors and public health officials were troubled by the story treatment and by the lack of reference to the many studies which conclude the risks of Gardasil are low.”
The publisher noted that the risks associated with Gardasil are “no greater than those found during clinical trials before regulatory approval.”
Journalist Michael Hiltzik described the article as a “bungled vaccine story” that manipulated and “exploited heart-wrenching family anecdotes of illness and death to undermine a vast library of scientific studies proving the vaccine to be safe.”
Hiltzik compared the Star to Katie Couric who made a similar claim on television, only to retract her investigative report as well.
On his own exploitive manipulation of familial anecdotes, Hiltzik compares the necessity of the Gardasil vaccine to the outbreak of measles, stating: “The consequences of such scare reporting can be measured in real illness and death. A fraudulent, conclusively debunked study purporting to show a link between the measles-mumps-rubella vaccine and autism continues to fuel resistance to the MMR vaccine. The harvest includes the current nationwide outbreak of measles that began with visits to and exposure of unvaccinated individuals at Disneyland at Christmastime. The caseload has reached at least 121 in 17 states, including 110 in California.”
Comparisons of HPV to measles may not be logical; however the Gardasil vaccine does have a shockingly under-reported danger that is doing more damage than the measles outbreak ever could.
In the Gardasil insert produced by Merck Pharmaceuticals it states that the vaccine has not been tested for carcinogenicity, and there is no evidentiary reason for Gardasil to be used to combat HPV or as a preventative for reproductive cancers.
According to Dr. Charlotte Haug on the validity of Gardasil: “There is another serious question that may be answered sooner: what effect will the vaccine have on the other cancer-causing strains of HPV? Nature never leaves a void, so if HPV-16 and HPV-18 are suppressed by an effective vaccine, other strains of the virus will take their place. The question is, will these strains cause cervical cancer?”
Haug continues: “Results from clinical trials are not encouraging. Vaccinated women show an increased number of precancerous lesions caused by strains of HPV other than HPV-16 and HPV-18. The results are not statistically significant, but if the trend is real – and further clinical trials should tell us in a few years – there is reason for serious concern.”
Studies have shown there has been a palatable increase in those who are exposed to HPV who have also received the Gardasil vaccine to develop cancer.
It was found that in “peer-reviewed analysis and studies many of them on the FDA, NCI and CDC web sites point out the dangers of many of the vaccine ingredients including the potential for the HPV vaccines to increase the risk for pre-cancerous lesions if adolescents have been previously exposed to the human papillomavirus and then get vaccinated: 44.6% increase post Gardasil.”
Most shocking is that in a test taken from 13 samples of Gardasil, it was discovered that “all the samples contained recombinant (genetically modified) HPV DNA which was firmly attached to the aluminum adjuvant.”
This recombinant HPV DNA is considered bio-hazardous with effects unknown to the medical community.
It was stated: “Based on medical literature and some of the FDA/Merck’s own publications, adventitious (coming from an outside source) DNA in an injectable protein-based vaccine may increase the risk of autoimmune disorders and gene mutation which may lead to malignancies.”
