The Syrian news agency SANA quotes the General Command of the Syrian Army and Armed Forces as reporting, that the massacre, in Maan, north of Homs, has been carried out on Sunday.

In a statement, issued on Monday, the General Command reports that the armed takfiri group attacked the village in large numbers, using various forms of weapons, pillaging and burning houses, demolishing houses and displacing the residents of the village.

The statement stressed that this criminal act was carried out as the Syrian State is exerting tireless efforts to end the suffering of the Syrian people, adding that the relationship between the terrorist groups operating in Syria and foreign sides has become well known to everyone.

The General Command stressed that no such terrorist act will go unpunished, and that the massacre on 42 women and children and the destruction of the village of Maan merely increased the armed forces determination to eliminating terrorism and restoring security and stability to the country.

The Syrian Minister of Social Affairs, Kinda al-Shamaat, stressed that most of the victims of the massacre have been women and children and that it is not the first massacre of this kind.

Al-Shamaat criticized international organizations for their silence over these killings and attempts to avert attention to regions with more calm, saying:

“We feel the insistence of the international community, to divert attention to areas which are not suffering to the same extent as these regions. … Unfortunately, we don’t hear condemnation from any international organization of these massacres taking place in these villages”.

Meanwhile, the London-based and according to reliable sources MI6 funded “Syrian Observatory for Human Rights”, which “documents” the events in Syria based on “Facebook, YouTube and other social media reports”, many of which have been proven to be fabrications and direct propaganda, claims that “the opposition” has attacked the village and killed 25 pro-government fighters.

Local sources in Syia reported to nsnbc international on Monday afternoon, that the main brigade that is operating in the area is the Saudi Arabia funded Jabhat al-Nusrah, and that the attack on the village and the killings had been carried out by Jabhat al-Nusrah.

I am hoping that someday that all the SOHR’s lies will be revealed. Mourning with Syria for Maan and Adra and all the rest. The west (and I am an American) must be held accountable for the atrocities we have been supporting in Syria and throughout the ME region and for our conspiracy over the past decade to overthrow the legitimate government of Syria.

    • Hello Jan.
Thank you very much. I wish more people in the USA were thinking like you do. Good people as everywhere but badly misinformed. I don’t remember who it was who said “The people who can make you believe in absurdities are the ones who can make you commit atrocities”.. but it is true. I wish more people would read this newspaper, a good start is to support it by telling as many people about it as you can. Put a link on your website- FB page, liked in or what ever it is you use,.. for example. Everybody can do something in his country. If to act internationally – together – maybe we should demand that Ban Kyi-moon steps down or is impeached for the scandal to try to not let the Syrian F.M. speak at the opening at the Geneva II.. Impeach Ban Kyi-moony the looney ;)Besides that ? THANK YOU JAN !!!
